Internships

Interns with the Out for Equity office provide support and services to GLBT students, families and staff. They do this by organizing resources, helping with support groups, and a variety of other tasks that help to meet their learning objectives.

Interns must be highly motivated and willing to learn. They must take initiative easily and be able to find creative solutions to problems.

Some of the important work that student interns are involved with include:

• Gathering informational resources
• Establishing contacts with allies
• Working on special projects geared toward increasing tolerance and respect among students & faculty
• Organizing youth social events
• Working with student-led Gay/Straight Alliance groups
